Friends of Egglescliffe School Music

Who We Are

We are parents, carers, teachers, musicians, alumni and members of our community who are passionate about music education

Egglescliffe is a flourishing and highly successful state school in Stockton-on-Tees. It has a long tradition of excellence in music education with a range of high-performing ensembles including a Chamber Choir, Orchestra, Brass Band and Big Band. Its ensembles have performed at venues such as St. Mark’s Basilica in Venice, the Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall and Durham Cathedral.

The Friends of Egglescliffe School Music is a registered charity committed to supporting music education within our community. Through fundraising we provide financial assistance to afford students the opportunity to learn to play a musical instrument and play in an ensemble.

Our Approach

Forward Together

The motto of Egglescliffe School is “Forward Together” and that also represents our approach as Friends of Egglescliffe School Music.

We passionately believe that every child in our community should have the opportunity to learn to play a musical instrument at the highest level.

This inclusive approach is at the heart of everything we do.

01. We Support

Across the last year we have raised thousands to support music education in our local area.

02. We Build

We have bought a range of musical instruments for loan to primary schools in our community in order to help build the next generation of young musicians.

03. We Inspire

We loan legacy instruments to our most gifted musicians inspiring them to achieve their dream of studying music at University or Conservatoire.

Support The Friends!

A donation to the Friends Of Egglescliffe School Music charity will help to support music tuition, the purchase of instruments and to promote school music more broadly in our community.
